Day 25

6 more sleeps -

It is always interesting to pull the memory card out of the camera and remember what we did all day.

For instance, I think I can find a picture of my father in a similar situation, maybe with a Wok instead of a plastic bowl?

Well... here it goes.
If this first picture looks a little dark, that is because it is! Amelee was up from 1:30 until 5 (am that is).

Finally convinved the kids we should stop watching so much Toy Story and play in the basement a little. So Anthony rode his bike around while Amelee did a puzzle.

After lunch, Amelee took a nap while Anthony watched some Tinkerbell (Courtney watches it and he loves Courtney, so he watches it too!). After Tinkerbell he read all about a Wii game.
After Amelee woke up we stayed in the basement for awhile.

Eventually Anthony got bored and went upstairs. I thought he was just playing Wii, but nope. He was playing something else....
If you can't tell, that is salt all over my counter. In fact, it is the entire container of salt.

Brad came over for a while this evening. We ate and played

and then put up a new swinging gate at the top of the stairs.

It is nice if you can teach your 2 year old to do the jobs that Daddy usually does...

Oh yeah, let the 1 year old help too....

Day 24

7 sleeps -

Last night was miserable because I decided to take Nyquil and then neither of my kids decided to sleep. This means I was in a haze and couldn't stand up and my kids wanted to play (instead of sleeping). Anthony finally went to sleep at 1030 and then Amelee woke up at 11 and stayed up until 1. At least I got 6 hours of sleep right?

This morning Anthony played lots of Wii. (I may have to unplug it, but hopefully the nice weather and the pool will distract him.) Amelee played on the deck and tried to blow some bubbles.

JC, Ali and Emerson came for lunch today. Amelee had gingerbread

Then she played with baby Emerson before her nap.
Well really she just pretended she was a baby again.

For two days in a row, I have found Anthony napping next to his bed, instead of in it. I guess you take what you can get right?

After naps and dinner we went to the park with Gerald and Kay.

Lots of fun was had by all (especially Gerald and Kay).


We came home and had some sno cones!

Hopefully tonight I will get more sleep (fingers crossed).

Day 23

Only 8 more sleeps! (The countdown to Daddy's return is on... Especially since I am sick and wish I wasn't here by myself.)

Anyway, Amelee had some sort of allergic reaction last night (I wish I would have taken a picture!), so she feel asleep super early. That means she woke up early this morning (5am). It wasn't too bad, because she just played while I "napped" on the couch.

When Anthony woke up, he brought everything from his room out into the living room. I guess he wanted to relax a little longer.


Then he came and snuggled with me after Amelee went for her morning nap.

We played outside and watched some Toy Story. Then had lunch and took naps (me too.)

I attempted to cook dinner, but apparently our fancy "flame free" grill and I don't get along. (You can only imagine what it would look like on a regular grill.)


Amelee helped me clean up and then we headed to Wal-Mart and Sam's Club for some much needed groceries.

By the time we got home it was bedtime. Hopefully the wash machine will finish soon, so I can go to sleep too.

Day 22

I am sick :(

I wasn't going to blog today, but then I thought you would all be disappointed. So here are some pictures and you can just imagine what kinds of comments I would make.















Hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

Day 21

This morning when Amelee woke up she decided to do some exercises.

But then she got tired.

We played outside a little with the bubbles and admired our garden.

We have a little tomato now too!

After lunch we went to Wild Things Farm to pick some blueberries.


Anthony hard a hard time leaving any blueberries on the bush.

Even Amelee got in on the action.


Of course she couldn't resist eating them right away.

It was a very hot afternoon!

When we came home, we skyped with Aunt Teresa (Anthony took her picture, I guess after 20 days of taking so many pictures he thinks she should be in on the action.)

Then he played some basketball (which apparently is alot like golf, get as close as possible and just put the ball in).
Only 10 more sleeps til Daddy comes home!!!!!!!

Day 20

I think it is Day 20..... it is so hard to keep track, they all just run together.

It was my last day in Fayetteville (Woo Hoo!) and the kids last day of school (Boo!).

We went to the Christ the King Carnival after dinner. (Not as big as IC, but pretty fun nonetheless). I did buy a raffle ticket for an Ipad (fingers crossed).

While Amelee wandered around the gym

Outside Amelee couldn't figure out why she couldn't pick up the pavement, I mean it looks like little rocks right?


Anthony cried because he wanted to play "another one" games (which were really the ones at IC).
When we came home, they played with the punch balloons...

(yes, I make them blow them up themselves.... HAHA)

But only for about 5 minutes before bed.
