Aunt Teresa's in the House

We didn't get the chance to take any good pictures yesterday (Teresa's first day in Arkansas) because we spent too much time trying to fix her "crappy" camera.
When we picked her up from the airport.... Anthony's old shyness towards her came out and he gave her a once over. It was good from there though! We got pizza for dinner.... then went to Sam's club.
Right before bed, Anthony and Aunt Teresa did have a mini photo shoot and he laughed very hard because she said "yuck" after every picture. Crackers were all over the couch after that.

Last night, Teresa, Dan, and Dan played rockband..... Dan had the wrong beer here for her, so she was a little upset. After 4, she didn't care anymore though. While they did that, I wrote a test. We had a little math/philosophical debate..... that was interesting.

Teresa slept until 11:00 today........
Teresa played games with the kids all day.... first there was some indoor baseball happenings (she claimed that she was teaching them turn taking skills). Then she chased Anthony around the house and played with his train.

We went to Walmart... ate dinner (Teresa made salad, I won't mention the end of the romaine heart that was in my bowl).... then we went to the pool.
Anthony mastered his jumping....
then he mastered his great-grandpa Scud lounging position....
then he got a mouth full of water, and spit it at Aunt Teresa

Amelee had fun for a while.....
but then she was over the water & decided she wanted cheetos

All of that jumping did make Anthony pretty tired.... he decided he certainly had the right to lay down and nap at the pool...

Time to go home and go night night..... Anthony is excited to wake up tomorrow morning because he gets to come downstairs and wake up Aunt Teresa for our soccer party at 9am. Good luck to him with that!!!!

Day 30

one more sleep!!!!!!!!!

Daddy is on an airplane now and will land in Dallas tomorrow morning at 6am. Then a super long layover until he gets to Tulsa at 1 and hopefully home by 3.

Amelee has discovered her brother's love for waffles with syrup.

We went to the memorial day barbeque at the pool.
Before we left, Amelee helped me get everything ready.

There were lots of water games and toys.

We ate a whole bunch of food.

Played with water balloons.

Wouldn't keep the hat on our head.

Relaxed in the tube (yeah, who cares if it is supposed to be in the water).

And tried to blow up the tube again after mommy had deflated it.
It was an all around good time.

Who knows what will happen to the blog when Dan comes back. I see he posted on his facebook page that he would start one.
I know Teresa and Mom will be sad that Dan is coming home (if only because they won't get a kiddie update everyday). I am sure I will still post when interesting things happen (not that everyday isn't interesting here), but I just don't have time for everyday.....

Day 29

only 2 more sleeps!!!!

Today I went to church while Gerald and Kay watched the kids because the nursery was closed. We came home from their house after lunch and a super short visit with Joe and both kids fell asleep! Yay for naptime.

It was another day where Amelee did everything Anthony did. Which I guess isn't really out of the ordinary, but today I got some pictures of it.

First they played some basketball. Anthony fixed the net

and then Amelee did.

I have a video of them playing "together". Amelee must be playing defense!
(Sorry you have to turn your head sideways, I forget I can't rotate videos.)

Later we rode bicycles. First Anthony did

then Amelee tried next.

Anthony was sort of camera shy today (and tired I guess by this after naptime picture),

so I have lots of extra pictures of Amelee.
She was still trying to do everything he did though.
Eat at his chair (or under it).

Use his blankets.

Read his library books.

Read my newspaper.

We went for a walk after dinner and Anthony took pictures of our journey. (Mostly he tried to catch dogs on camera, but I can't seem to find one picture of a dog.)
Just signs....

and toes.

Last (until tomorrow I guess) is a picture of her after bathtime (and only because she is super cute, not really because she is doing something special).

Day 28

and a little of day 27.....

Yesterday I had to charge the camera batteries so most of the pictures were taken on my phone. It is amazing how fast camera batteries dies when you are taking 100 pictures everyday.

We went to the park

Then came home and tended to the garden.

Anthony watered.

While Amelee shouted directions from her tricycle. (Another Sharrow trait, we just can't seem to escape them over here.)

Amelee has now learned to climb on top of things. Dangerous for Anthony's train set.

How can he be mad at this face though?

Well, here is his reaction.

We joined the local pool. Today was the first day it is open.
Anthony started the afternoon a little skeptical...

Even pretty angry that I put him in the pool.

Eventually he decided he really liked it and he even jumped in the big pool without me. (Well, on accident, he just stepped off the ladder and assumed he would touch, but didn't.)

Amelee had a good time (she loves water). (It is harder to get good pictures of those because I have to be in the water next to her.) Maybe when Dan comes back.. (only 3 more sleeps).

Exhausting afternoon. I am sure tomorrow will be just as fun.

Day 26

5 more sleeps -

Anthony slept in this morning, so Amelee and I played and watched some TV before he got up. She had to sit backwards on the truck or else she couldn't see the TV.

Almost as soon as Anthony woke up, Amelee took a nap. So I had a lucky morning only entertaining one child at a time.
We played outside, but it was hot! So he was kinda lazing in the chair and couldn't stop staring at his reflection in the window (another Sharrow trait).

We fixed some lunch. Anthony can open the fridge and Amelee follows him everywhere, so this is how I found them. I guess I was taking too long.

Anthony and I played in the backyard while Amelee took her second nap. Turns out we may have a snake living on our patio.... (YIKES!) Gerald is coming to take care of the place I "think" it is staying tomorrow. Guess we will play in the front yard until after that.

After all the action of the afternoon, we decided to get pizza at the mall for dinner.
And played on the squishy playground they have.
Anthony was super tall and then he got "stuck". But I convinced him he could get out himself.

At least I can count on Anthony to entertain Amelee some of the time.

What a good big brother!
